  • Be available every Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 PM to visit Zubin's Family Centre at the Austin MTR station (in-person activity)
  • The volunteer is required to commit a minimum time period of 3 months for this project
  • Tutor ethnic minority children ages between 4-9 years old with severe illness
  • Help the child with reading and writing in English or Cantonese
  • Volunteers are required to wear masks while interacting with the children
Background

The Zubin Foundation was approached by an ethnic minority family with three children, each suffering from different levels of illness. They hope to improve their children's English and Chinese language skills. Despite their illnesses, the family believes in supporting their children's development and helping them reach their potential. Due to regular hospital visits, the children miss school two to three days a week.

What we have

We will provide a safe and clean room including a desk and 2 chairs.

Why this is important

This initiative will assist us in fulfilling families' wishes to educate their children, even in the face of severe health conditions. It also provides children with a safe space outside their homes to engage in activities they are passionate about.
